The Tutor role can be used to give a user access to portfolios. All content in the portfolio is 'ready only' (unless the user has other roles, such as assessor, IQA etc) with the exception of:
Contact Logs - user can add and modify contact logs, and receive contact log reminders
Portfolio Comments - user can create and receive portfolio comments
Unit Comments - user can create and receive unit comments
Portfolio of Evidence tab (designed primarily for Apprenticeship Standards courses)
Other functionality available to Tutors:
Messaging - candidates and Quality Assurers
Reports
Resources - search and read only
1. Add Tutor:
The tutor role can be a users' only role, or can be added to the following roles:
Assessor
Expert Witness
Internal Verifier (IQA)
Learning Support Admin
Mentor
Quality Assurer
Training Manager
Workplace Manager
The tutor role can also be Workplace or Centre-based. If workplace, then access will be limited to candidates at their workplace regardless of allocation. Centre-based Tutors will be able to access any candidate assigned to them and can be made Team members.
When adding a Tutor you can provide a Job Title (in the Role Information section of the screen), this is then displayed next to the users name when assigning Tutors to Candidates i.e. Lead Safeguarding Officer, or Sales Manager etc.
2. Assigning a Tutor
Tutors can be assigned to candidates using the following methods:
Additional Assessors
'Bulk Candidate Update' via the Search Candidate screen
Teams (only if the user is Centre-based)
