Additional Guidance Notes (on evidence)

Modified on Mon, 23 Feb at 11:32 AM

To keep the planning information short and succinct, you can add additional guidance to each item of evidence, and this guidance (inc. resource hashtags) is then displayed on the evidence pages (viewing, preparing etc) for the candidate to easily refer to at any time.

A notes icon will also appear on all evidence lines with additional guidance, which the user can hover over to view a plain text version of the guidance (up to 500 characters).  The user can click on the icon to read the full guidance, and in rich text format.

If you go to a work template, and then:

  1. Click Set-up and go to evidence
  2. Select an evidence item and click ‘Edit evidence properties’.
  3. Click on Additional Guidance Notes
  4. Enter the specific guidance for the evidence (you can copy from the ‘show plan’ button, or abbreviate the plan info.)
  5. Click ‘Save’.

Adding the guidance to the evidence in the work template will mean it will automatically begin to appear for all candidates who have received the plan!  Note, adding/editing the guidance in an individual portfolio will only change the guidance for that individual.

Being able to provide additional guidance for each item of evidence will mean you can simplify assessment plans, because you can provide bite size information for each item of evidence.
