Final IQA Workflow

Step 1:

Assessor confirms all remaining Unit Declarations — Click on the completed unit and click
‘Confirm’, this will name and date stamp the Unit Declaration ready for the Candidate to confirm.

If the ‘Confirm’ button is not available, the Assessor will be shown a list of Evidence items linked to the Unit and still within the assessment process. Before the Unit can be confirmed the Assessor must complete one of the following actions:

1. Complete the assessment and ensure feedback is accepted; or

2. Visit the evidence and remove the links to the Unit; or

3. Abandon the evidence. To abandon evidence go to the evidence and click ‘Abandon’.

Once a Unit Declaration has been confirmed no more evidence can be linked to that unit.

Step 2:

Candidate confirms all Unit Declarations

The Candidate can only confirm a Unit once it has been confirmed by the Assessor. Once confirmed by the Candidate the IVQ is alerted to the Unit being complete if it has been marked for sampling on the IQA Sampling Plan .

Step 3:

IQA conducts verification and confirms all Unit Completion Declarations by clicking on the completed Unit and clicking ‘Confirm’, this will name and date stamp the Unit Completion Declarations.

The IQA can unlock Units and return to Step 1 above by using the ‘Actions Required’ button located on the Unit Declaration page.

This can be used in conjunction with feedback where the IQA identifies action required.

Step 4:

Assessor accepts IQA feedback, then submits the portfolio for final IQA using 'Submit For Final Verification' button on the portfolio front page.

Step 5:

IQA can now approve final IQA, by clicking the ‘Approve Final Verification' button located on the portfolio front page, and this will sign off any unconfirmed units.

The IQA will then be prompted to provide a comment for the portfolio, but the user can click 'Cancel' if no comment is required.

The 'Portfolio Certified' button will now
be available for use once the course has been certificated.

A grey tick next to a unit indicates the unit was confirmed complete automatically when the IQA clicked 'Approve Final Verification'.  Where as a green tick indications the unit was confirmed complete by the IQA as part of summative verification activities.
