For Quality Assurance Coordinators, Learning Support Administrators and IQAs.
This guide explains how to change who assesses or quality-assures a candidate: their Primary Assessor, unit assessors, additional assessors, Primary IQA and additional IQAs.
Before you start: The new assessor or IQA must already have an Ecordia account. If they don't, create one first. See Add User.

Changing the Primary Assessor
- Go to the Candidates tab and search for the candidate.
- Click View Candidate, then Modify.
- In the Training Arrangements section, choose the new Primary Assessor, then click Save.
- You'll be asked whether to make the same change in the candidate's ILP:
- click Yes to update the ILP too
- click No to change only the Primary Assessor role.

Note: Changing the Primary Assessor doesn't always stop the previous assessor seeing the portfolio. If they've planned or assessed evidence, they're still linked to the candidate. To remove their access completely, use Access to Candidates.
Changing a unit assessor
- Open the candidate's portfolio and click Individual Learning Plan, then Modify ILP.
- Choose a different assessor next to each unit as needed.
- Click Save.
For more about unit assessors, see Selected Units.
Adding or removing an additional assessor
- Search for the candidate and click View Candidate.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Additional Assessors.
- To add an assessor: start typing their name in Assessor Name, choose them from the results, and click Add.
To remove an assessor: click Remove next to their name. - Click Back.
Changing the Primary IQA
- Go to the Candidates tab and search for the candidate.
- Click View Candidate, then Modify.
- In the Training Arrangements section, choose the new Primary IQA, then click Save.
- When asked whether to make the same change in the ILP, click Yes to update the ILP too, or No to change only the Primary IQA role.
Adding or removing an additional IQA
- Go to the Candidates tab and search for the candidate.
- Click View Candidate, then Modify.
- In the Training Arrangements section, tick or untick IQAs in the list, then click Save.
