Setting Written Questioning

Modified on Wed, 25 Feb at 9:35 AM

1. Setting Written Questions

1.1     Click the 'Add Evidence Type' button.

1.2      Select Written Questioning (Q&A) from the evidence-type drop down box.

1.3      Click 'New Question', then type your first question in the space provided and click 'Add Question'. Repeat this step until all questions have been added then click    'Save'.

You should now be viewing the evidence page.

1.4     (Optional) At this stage you can link the evidence to the course standards that the questions will be assessed against by using the 'Link Evidence' button.

1.5     Not relevant to Work Templates (see Applying Work Templates): If the evidence is draft and in a candidate portfolio, click 'Go To Plan' and click 'Submit'. The plan     will now appear as an item for your candidate’s attention on their portfolio front page. The candidate can then accept the plan and answer the questions.

Top Tip!

When Written Questioning is in the "Assessing" status use the ‘Modify’ button to add more questions or edit the existing questions.

On accepting your feedback the Candidate will then be able to answer the questions and
submit again for assessment.

This is a useful function if the questions you are assessing have been misunderstood by
the Candidate - or if you need to gain further knowledge before you can make a positive
assessment decision against the standards.

2. Editing Written Questioning Q&A

This is a guide for Assessors and explains how to edit Written Questions.
Please Note: This activity can only be performed when the evidence is either in the Draft or Assessing status

2.1    When viewing the Evidence click the ‘Modify’ button.

2.2    Click the 'Edit' button located on the right next to the question you wish to edit.

2.3     The question will now be displayed for editing, you can now edit the question.

2.4    When you have made all changes to the chosen question click the ‘Update’ button to the right. If you want to edit further questions repeat steps 2 to 4.

2.5     Once you have made all changes click the ’Save’ button, this will save all changes and you will now be viewing the evidence in the Viewing Evidence page.

 Top Tip:

When Written Questions are in the Assessing status use the ‘Modify’ button to

add more questions or edit the existing questions. On accepting your feedback the
Candidate will then be able to answer the questions and submit again for assessment.

This is a useful function if the questions you are assessing have been misunderstood by
the Candidate, or if you need to gain further knowledge before you can make a positive
assessment decision against the standards.
