This table lists the buttons you may see on a piece of evidence, what each one does, and who can use it. Which buttons appear also depends on the evidence status.

| Annotate | Saves a snapshot of the evidence for audit purposes, so you can add comments to that version. | No | Yes | No | Yes |
| Portfolio of Evidence Criteria/Range | Adds or removes links to the PE criteria. | No | Yes | No | Yes |
| Permissions | Asks for permission to change evidence or feedback outside the normal workflow. See Permission Request. | No | Yes | No | Yes |
| Abandon | Hides the evidence and ignores any links to PE criteria. It can be activated again later. | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Delete Evidence | Deletes the evidence from the portfolio. This can't be undone. | No | No | No | Yes |

† Candidates also need to be the holder of the evidence.
